John C. Ludwig - Writer / Director / Producer
After being medically retired as a Marine Corps officer in 1978 and then retiring from a second career as a family therapist, 3 years ago at the age of 59 John took up his lifelong passion of writing and film production. Within the past 15 years John has taken many solo trips, arriving at his destination with nothing more than a ticket, and letting the universe guide him. Some places the “universe” has taken him are Ecuador, El Salvador, Serbia (where he wound up in a Serb relocation camp) and Israel. John was part of a humanitarian group that led him to the top of the Andes and Albania just before the outbreak of that war. He lived in Nigeria and South Africa for 2 1⁄2 years, and the Middle East, Abu Dhabi and Dubai, for almost a year. Most recently John took a trek across Thailand and Cambodia. A trip to India is on his agenda.
“Every solo trip that was taken was not without humanitarian rewards that were unexpected.” The impetus for writing is trying to “bring these stories to life through film. The Unbroken Circle is a true to life metaphor of what these travels have meant to me and hoping these experiences make some small difference to those who have not had the opportunity to see the strife of what other people of the world have to endure.”
This is John’s first major film endeavor, hopefully not his last.
Terry Michaels - Producer
Terry has always had her hand in theater in one way or another, performing on the stage or in clubs, but she always knew she’d make movies, because, as she says, she has “stories to tell.” She has traveled the world, and lived in 5 countries. She has seen firsthand the struggles others endure. Telling this story has been a “labor of love” for her and she is grateful to have worked on this project with its universal theme; violence is not the answer. Terry has been a humanitarian activist since she was a child, following in her grandmother’s footsteps, who was a Freedom Rider in the 1960s.
She is currently putting the final touches on a sitcom pilot she wrote, which she will direct.
